Maple Ridge vs. Skyview — what's the difference?

These are direct neighbours. Maple Ridge is the established area (south of the park) with mature trees and more bungalows. Skyview is the newer area (north of the park) featuring larger 2-storey homes and ongoing construction. Maple Ridge offers a more settled feel, while Skyview offers newer modern finishes.

Who is Maple Ridge best suited for?

Two groups love it here: empty-nesters and retirees drawn to the neighbourhood's unusual concentration of bungalows and main-floor living, and families who want wider lots and quieter streets than the newer subdivisions offer. The wide lots also make it one of the easier Northwest neighbourhoods for RV parking or a serious backyard garden.

How close is shopping to Maple Ridge?

Very close, without the noise. The Rochdale Crossing commercial hub is a 2-minute drive, and the broader Rochdale Boulevard corridor — grocery stores, restaurants, banks, and the Northwest Leisure Centre — is only minutes further. Because Maple Ridge has few through streets, none of that commercial traffic passes your front door.

What schools serve Maple Ridge?

École St. Angela Merici (Catholic, French Immersion) is located right in the community, making it a strong draw for families seeking bilingual education. Public elementary students attend the nearby Plainsview School, and high school students are served by Winston Knoll Collegiate and Michael A. Riffel, both just south on Rochdale Boulevard.
