These neighbourhoods are very similar in age and price. Normanview is generally located west of Pasqua Street, while Regent Park is to the east. Normanview tends to have slightly larger lots and feels a bit more “suburban,” while Regent Park is closer to the amenities of the Lewvan/Pasqua corridor.
It is the commercial heart of the North West and sits directly inside the neighbourhood. Unlike a typical strip mall, Normanview Crossing is a major entertainment hub featuring the Galaxy Cinemas movie theatre, a grocery store, a gym, and numerous restaurants. Residents can literally walk to dinner and a movie.
It is one of the most accessible locations for drivers. Normanview is bordered by Lewvan Drive, which functions as the city's main north-south artery. You can get to the downtown core in under 10 minutes or shoot south to the airport without navigating through other residential zones.
No, they are distinct neighbourhoods separated by McCarthy Boulevard. Normanview (east of McCarthy) was developed slightly earlier in the 1960s. Normanview West (west of McCarthy) was developed shortly after in the 1970s and features a higher concentration of split-level homes.
